Visa policy of Somaliland

The visa policy of Somaliland dictates the use and acquisition of visas in Somaliland.

In accordance with the law, citizens of all countries require a visa to visit Somaliland.[1][2][3]

Somaliland and Somalia have completely different visa policies and Somaliland authorities do not recognize national visas issued by Somalia.[4][5][6]

Visa on arrival

Holders of passports issued by the following countries below can obtain a visa on arrival at all border checkpoints including Hargeisa Airport.[1][7][8][9][10]

Visa required in advance

Visas are also issued at the Somaliland embassy .[1][11][3] Additionally, a visa can be sought via application at the Somaliland representative office in London.

Applicants who are not allowed visas on arrival can obtain visas from Somaliland Diplomatic Mission offices such as (London, UAE, Djibouti, etc.). In addition, Visa forms will be obtainable through the Department of Immigration website[12]

Somaliland's Visa System would be enhanced upon global recognition, with its own passport index rankings , Somaliland has a recognition bid that is gaining momentum, with Countries setting new visa policy's and changes towards regions that include visits and how and where Somalilanders travel to .
