The Polydisciplinary Faculty of Taza (Faculté Polydisciplinaire de Taza; FPT) is a Moroccan public institution of higher education located in Taza. Established in 2003, it is a constituent institution of the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez. It was created as part of the Moroccan government's effort to decentralize higher education and promote regional development.[1]
Academic programs
As a polydisciplinary institution, FPT offers a wide range of academic programs across several fields under the LMD framework. The faculty grants both fundamental and professional degrees in:
- Economics and Management: Including specialized masters in territorial economics and management.[2]
- Legal and Social Sciences: Covering public and private law in Arabic and French.
- Natural Sciences: Focused on life sciences and earth sciences.
- Arts and Humanities: Including Arabic, English, and French studies.[3]
Research and events
The faculty is active in environmental and regional research. It regularly organizes scientific conferences, such as the CONF'RENA (Sustainable Management of Natural Resources), which explores innovation in resource management and sustainable development in the Taza-Al Hoceima-Taounate region.[4]
