Rules for classification: 1) Points; 2) Goal difference; 3) Goals scored; 4) If the champions, relegated teams or qualified teams for UEFA competitions cannot be determined by rules 1 to 3, rules 4.1 to 4.3 are applied – 4.1) Points gained in head-to-head record between such teams; 4.2) Away goals scored in head-to-head record between such teams; 4.3) Play-offs[164]
Notes:
- ^ The winners of the 2025–26 FA Cup and the fifth-placed team both qualify for the Europa League. If the FA Cup winners finish in the top five, the sixth-placed team will qualify. If England finishes as one of the two associations with the highest UEFA coefficient points, fifth place will qualify for the Champions League and the other qualifying spots will move down one position.
- ^ The winners of the 2025–26 EFL Cup will qualify for Conference League play-off round. As both finalists, Arsenal and Manchester City, are currently placed fifth or above, the Conference League spot will be passed to the highest-placed team that does not qualify for European competition, unless the cup winners drop out of the top five.
