It is one of several colonias in the county.[3]

Geography

Valle Verde is located at 27°40′47″N 99°12′4″W / 27.67972°N 99.20111°W / 27.67972; -99.20111 (27.679691, -99.200997). The CDP has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2), all land.[4]

Valle Verde first appeared as a census-designated place in the 2010 U.S. census,[16] one of seven CDPs (Colorado Acres, Hillside Acres, Las Haciendas, Las Pilas, Los Veteranos I, Pueblo East, and Valle Verde) were formed out the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP.[17] The population was listed as zero in both the 2010 and 2020 U.S. censuses.[17]

Education

Residents are in the United Independent School District.[20] Zoned schools include: Dr. Henry Cuellar Elementary School,[21] Antonio Gonzalez Middle School,[22] and United South High School.[23]
