Colorado Acres is a census-designated place in Webb County, Texas, United States. As of the 2020 census, Colorado Acres had a population of 127.[2] This was a new CDP, formed from parts of the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP prior to the 2010 census.[3]

It is one of several colonias in the county.[4]

Geography

Colorado Acres is located at 27°38′42″N 99°12′51″W / 27.64500°N 99.21417°W / 27.64500; -99.21417 (27.644901, -99.214301) along U.S. Highway 59 in east-central Webb County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.93 square miles (7.6 km2), all land.[5]

Colorado Acres first appeared as a census-designated place in the 2010 U.S. census,[17] one of seven CDPs (Colorado Acres, Hillside Acres, Las Haciendas, Las Pilas, Los Veteranos I, Pueblo East, and Valle Verde) were formed out the Ranchitos Las Lomas CDP.[18]

Education

Residents are in the United Independent School District.[21] Zoned schools include: Dr. Henry Cuellar Elementary School,[22] Antonio Gonzalez Middle School,[23] and United South High School.[24]

The designated community college for Webb County is Laredo Community College.[25]
