Urzulei (Sardinian: Orthullè) is a village and comune (municipality) in the Province of Ogliastra in the autonomous island region of Sardinia in Italy, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) northeast of Cagliari and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Tortolì. It has 1,043 inhabitants.[2]
The municipality of Urzulei contains the frazione (subdivision) Silana.
Urzulei borders the following municipalities: Baunei, Dorgali, Orgosolo, Talana, Triei.
Demographics
As of 2025, the population is 1,043, of which 50.2% are male, and 49.8% are female. Minors make up 10.6% of the population, and seniors make up 29.2%.[3]

Immigration
Of the 1,041 residents at the time of the most recent count that included countries of birth, residents' countries of birth included the following countries, in descending order of frequency: Italy (1,018 – 97.8%), Germany (9 – 0.9%), Romania (7 – 0.7%).[6]
