Szeroka Góra is a mountain in the Bardzkie Mountains (Góry Bardzkie), part of the Sudetes in south-western Poland. With an elevation of 766 metres (2,513 ft), it is the highest peak of the Bardzkie Mountains according to modern GNSS and LiDAR-based surveys.[1][2]
Geography
Szeroka Góra lies in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, within Ząbkowice County, near the municipality of Złoty Stok. The summit area is forested and situated off the main marked hiking trails.
Recent high-precision measurements demonstrated that Szeroka Góra is slightly higher than nearby Kłodzka Góra, which had previously been regarded as the highest peak of the range.[1][3]
Geology
The Bardzkie Mountains form part of the Central Sudetes and are composed mainly of folded and faulted sedimentary rocks of Carboniferous age, including greywackes and mudstones, reflecting the complex tectonic evolution of the Sudetic region.[4]
