Svetlana Oknazarova (born 4 May 2001) is an Uzbek freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games and the bronze medal at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championships.[1][2]
Career
Oknazarova is from the Khorezm Region of Uzbekistan.[3] She competed at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, where she finished sixth.[4]
At senior level, Oknazarova placed fifth at the 2020 Asian Wrestling Championships, fifth again at the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships, and fifth at the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championships.[5] She also reached the bronze-medal stage at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships before finishing fifth overall in the women's freestyle 72 kg event.[6]
In 2023, she won the silver medal at the 2023 Asian U23 Wrestling Championships in Bishkek in the women's freestyle 72 kg category.[7]
In 2025, Oknazarova placed fifth at the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championships.[8] Later that year, she reached the final of the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh in the women's freestyle 68 kg division and won the silver medal after losing to Kyrgyzstan's Meerim Zhumanazarova.[9] At the 2025 World Wrestling Championships, she finished 15th in the women's freestyle 72 kg event after losing to Alexandria Glaude.[10][11]
