Saidabad (Persian: سعيداباد)[a] is a village in Gowharan Rural District[4] of the Central District in Khoy County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran. It was the capital of Valdian Rural District[5] in Ivughli District until its capital was transferred to the village of Mahlezan.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,876 in 699 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,272 people in 898 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 3,255 people in 957 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
