Rhinatrema koki is a species of caecilian in the family Rhinatrematidae.[1][2]

Taxonomy

Rhinatrema koki was first described by Mark Wilkinson and Gabriela B. Bittencourt-Silva in 2025.[3][4]

The species is named after Philippe J.R. Kok from the University of Lodz, a herpetologist specialising in the study of neotropical amphibians and reptiles.[5]

Location

Rhinatrema koki was found in Guyana, near the Konawaruk River in the former Mazaruni-Potaro region of Guyana.[3]
