Etats-Unis (French for 'United States') was a restaurant in Manhattan, New York City, United States.[2][3] Established in 1992, it had received a Michelin star,[4][5][6] before closing permanently in 2009.[1]
Description
New York magazine described Etats-Unis as a "Manhattan chef's hangout".[7]
History
Etats-Unis opened in 1992.[8] Jonathan Rapp and his father Tom[9] operated the business.[10][11] Derrick Styczek was the chef at the restaurant when it won a Michelin star.[12][13] Etats-Unis closed in November 2009.[1]
