Dziewięciornik (German: Neunheiten Berg) is a mountain in the Włodzickie Hills, part of the Central Sudetes in south-western Poland. The summit rises to 613 metres (2,011 ft) above sea level.[1]
Geography
Dziewięciornik lies in Kłodzko County in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the hilly area surrounding the town of Nowa Ruda. It forms part of the Włodzickie Hills, a range of rounded elevations situated between the Owl Mountains and the Table Mountains in the Central Sudetes.[2]
The Włodzickie Hills extend for roughly 20 km within the drainage basin of the Włodzica River and its tributaries.[2] Within this landscape Dziewięciornik forms one of the higher summits of the range, located among other elevations such as Pisztyk, Kościelec and Pardelówka.[3]
Landscape
The mountain is covered largely by mixed forest typical of the Sudetes. Forest roads and local paths connect the slopes of Dziewięciornik with neighbouring hills and with the surrounding settlements of the Nowa Ruda region.[3]
