Amanula Gadzhimagomedov (Аманулла Муавиядович Гаджимагомедов; born 19 April 1995) is a Russian freestyle wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 92 kg event at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, and is the 2025 Russian national champion.[1][2]
Career
Gadzhimagomedov trained at the Umakhanov Sports School and the Spartak club in Khasavyurt.[3] His coaches include Isa Magomedov and Arsen Biybulatov.[4]
He won a bronze medal at the 2020 Russian Wrestling Championships, a silver medal in 2023, and became national champion in 2025.
At the 2025 World Wrestling Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia, Gadzhimagomedov competed in the men's freestyle 86 kg category. He defeated Turkey’s Alperen Tokgöz 9–3 in the qualification round, Italy’s Ben Honis 5–3 in the round of 16, Kazakhstan’s Kamil Kurugliyev 9–0 in the quarterfinals, and Iran’s Amir Hossein Firouzpour 11–6 in the semifinals to reach the final. In the gold medal match, he lost 13–10 to the American Trent Hidlay, earning the silver medal.[5]
