The 2025–26 Mongolian Premier League is the 58th season of the Mongolian Premier League, the top-tier football league in Mongolia. SP Falcons entered the season as defending champions after their title win in the previous campaign.
Season overview
The season commenced on 20 September 2025, featuring ten clubs competing in a triple round-robin format. The early stages of the competition were dominated by Khangarid FC, who recorded a historic 10–0 away victory against newly promoted Ulaangom City FC in the second week of the season.[1]
By the mid-season break in December 2025, the defending champions Bulgan SP Falcons reclaimed the top spot following a nine-match unbeaten streak. The league faced significant scheduling adjustments in late 2025 due to extreme winter conditions in Ulaanbaatar, leading to the temporary suspension of outdoor matches until the spring restart in March 2026.[2] The league winner will earn an automatic spot in the group stage of the 2026–27 AFC Challenge League.
Changes before the season
Brera Ilch FC was relegated from 2024–25 Mongolian Premier League whereby Khovd Western FC who won the 2024–25 Mongolian First League was promoted. The league also changes their restrictions of foreign imports player from five to six.
Teams
All matches are held at the MFF Football Centre in Ulaanbaatar, which has a capacity of 5,000, due to the centralized nature of the competition during the 2025–26 campaign.[3]
