Zinga Goshty is one of the earliest[1] Bangladeshi pop[2] bands and its first orchestra band formed in 1963 in Chattogram, Bangladesh (erstwhile East Pakistan).[3][4][5] Music scholars and historians consider 'Zinga' a family band.

History

The band was formed on March 4, 1963 by Shafaat Ali. Their song 'Tomari Jeebone' is considered timeless.[1]
