Youth is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language coming-of-age romantic comedy film written and directed by Ken Karunas, in his directorial debut, who also enacts the lead role. The cast also includes Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anishma Anilkumar, Meenakshi Dinesh, Priyanshi Yadav, and Devadarshini.[1]
Youth was released in theatres on 19 March 2026 to critical acclaim from critics.[2]
Plot
Praveen is a 10th grader who is not serious about his studies. He lives with his parents Unnikrishnan a bakery owner and Saroja a housewife. One day on the results day Saroja goes to the browsing centre and gets happy that his son had passed successfully. Later Praveen enters 11th grade and falls in love with three women Preshika, Sonal and Kanagavalli. Then he enters 12th and what happens with the love and his atrocities with his best friends forms the story.

Production
The film was officially announced in October 2025 under the tentative title Production 01, as it the debut production of Paarvathaa.[3] Principal photography took place from the same month to December, predominantly in Chennai.[4] The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by Viki and editing by Nash.[5]

The first single titled "Mutta Kalakki" was released on 7 February 2026.[7]
