Yağız Sezgin (born 12 May 2007) is a Turkish archer who competes in the compound discipline. He won a silver medal in the team event at the 2024 European Archery Championships held in Essen, Germany.[1]
Career
Sezgin started archery at a young age and competed in national youth categories. In 2024, at the European Youth Championships in Ploiești, Romania, he became European Youth Champion after winning a shoot-off against German archer Noah Nuber in a 147–147 tied match.[2]
The same year, he won a bronze medal in the youth category at an indoor European Championship event in Croatia with a 148–145 victory.[3]
Later in 2024, Sezgin won the silver medal with the Turkish compound men's team at the European Archery Championships in Essen. He was also reported to have broken a Turkish national record.[4]
