Xanthesma maculata, or Xanthesma (Xenohesma) maculata, is a species of bee in the family Colletidae and the subfamily Euryglossinae. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1879 by English entomologist Frederick Smith.[1][2]

Distribution and habitat

The type locality is Swan River, with other published localities including Northampton and Koorda, all in Western Australia.[2]

Behaviour

The adults are flying mellivores.[2]
