Wishma (The Blessing) (Sinhala: විශ්ම), is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhalese musical drama film directed by Randika Nadeeshan Wijemanna[1] and co-produced by Siraj Razeen and Ruhunage Sandamali for 2S Ventures Movies.[2] It stars Roshan Pilapitiya, Umayangana Wickramasinghe in the lead roles with Saranga Disasekara, Dinakshie Priyasad, Mahesh Randeniya, Kumara Ranepura and Lakshman Amarasekara made supportive roles.[3][4]

Production
The film marks the maiden film direction by Randika Nadeeshan Wijemanna, who worked as an editor for 15 years in films and television industry.[3] He also made the editing and color combination of the film.[2][5] Story and screenplay written by Shiraj Razeen and Ruhunage Sandamali, who also co-produced the film.[6] Prageeth de Silva is the assistant director. Cinematography co-handled by Sisikirana Paranathithana and Nishan Fernando, whereas Nilanthi Ranasinghe made art direction, Ubhaya Dissanayake with makeup and Dhammika Gunasena with production management.[3][4][2]
Music direction done by Sameera Weerasinghe, where he also made lyrics with Manjula Bandara and background vocals with Kalpana Kavindi, Nishi Adhikari and Onel Damsath.[2] The film consists of eight songs.[3] The film has been shot in and around Horana, Mathugama, Bulathsinghala, Avissawella, Seethawaka and Colombo.[4]
Release
The film is released on 13 November 2024 throughout the country. A special media screening was held on 10 March 2024 Savoy Premier Cinema.[7] The premiere was held at the Savoy Premier Cinema in Wellawatte.[8] The film successfully passed 50 days in theaters.[9]
