Waligóra is a mountain in the Stone Mountains (Góry Kamienne), a range of the Central Sudetes, in south-western Poland. At a height of 936 metres (3,071 ft), it is the highest peak of the Stone Mountains.[1][2]

Geography

Waligóra rises above the Pass of Three Valleys (Przełęcz Trzech Dolin), near the mountain hut of Andrzejówka, in the central and highest part of the Stone Mountains.[3] The surrounding terrain is deeply dissected, with steep slopes and narrow valleys characteristic of the range.[2]

The mountain is built mainly of volcanic and subvolcanic rocks of late Carboniferous and early Permian age, including rhyolite, trachyandesite and rhyolitic tuff, with sedimentary rocks also present in the surrounding area.[2]

A marked hiking trail leads to the summit from Andrzejówka mountain hut below the pass.[3]
