Valiant College Preparatory (VCP) is a college preparatory school for students in grades 6-12 who excel at high school wrestling. The school is located in Phoenix, Arizona, United States.
It operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with scholarships funded by donors.[2]
History
The school was co-founded in 2018 by Eric Larkin, Mike Douglas and Eric Pawlak.[3] Larkin was a former NCAA Division I Champion in wrestling (2003), and was awarded the 2003 Dan Hodge Trophy.[4]
Although the school is primarily focused on wrestling, the school has added other sports such as cross country and golf to try and gain Arizona Interscholastic Association accreditation.[3]
Angel Cejudo serves as head coach for the school's wrestling program.[5] Kayla Miracle is a teacher and wrestling coach.[6] Guillermo Torres serves as assistant wrestling coach.[7]
