Trnavá Hora

Trnavá Hora (Hungarian: Bezeréte) is a village and municipality in Žiar nad Hronom District in the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia.

On the upper part of Trnavá Hora called Kľačany, there is a square of Mekky Žbirka together with a bust of Makky Žbirka^[6] - popular Slovak singer who has its roots in Trnavá Hora (his father lived in here).

The municipality lies at an altitude of 370 metres (1,210 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 24.54 km² (9.47 sq mi) (2024).^[7]

It has a population of 1257 people (31 December 2024).^[9]

In year 2021 was 1238 people by ethnicity 1219 as Slovak, 14 as Not found out, 10 as Czech, 10 as Romani, 7 as Other, 3 as Hungarian, 2 as Russian, 1 as Irish, 1 as Ukrainian, 1 as Serbian, 1 as Rusyn and 1 as German.
