Triathlon at the 2006 Commonwealth Games was the second appearance of Triathlon at the Commonwealth Games. Competition was held in Melbourne, Australia, from 15 to 26 March 2006.[1]
The triathlon events were held in the Melbourne suburb of St. Kilda. Both men's and women's courses were conducted over the Olympic distance of 1500 m swim, 40 km ride and 10 km run, and were held according to the International Triathlon Union (ITU) rules.
Australia topped the triathlon medal table by virtue of winning both gold medals.[2]
