The Town and Country Planning Act 1971 (c. 78) was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom that consolidated enactments relating to town and country planning in England and Wales.[1]

Subsequent developments

The whole act was repealed by section 3(1) of, and part I of schedule 1 to, the Planning (Consequential Provisions) Act 1990, which came into force on 24 August 1990.[3]
