Thudakkam[1] is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language Drama thriller film directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor[2] under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The film stars Vismaya Mohanlal, Mohanlal, Ashish Joe Antony, Jaffar Idukki, Boby Kurian[3] and Sai Kumar. The film is written by Jude Anthany Joseph, Akhil Krishna and Linish Nellikkal. The music is composed by Jakes Bejoy[4], with cinematography by Jomon T. John and editing by Chaman Chakko.[5]

The film was officially launched with a pooja ceremony on 30 October 2025.[6] Principal photography began on 17 November 2025 and was completed on 20 February 2026.[7] The film was shot in locations including Bangalore, Kuttikkanam and Kochi. The film is scheduled to be released during the Onam festival in 2026.[8]

Development

The film was announced in 2025, with Antony Perumbavoor producing under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.[2] The screenplay was written by Jude Anthany Joseph along with Akhil Krishna and Linish Nellikkal.[3] The film was officially launched with a pooja ceremony on 30 October 2025 in Kochi, attended by members of the cast and crew.[10]

Filming

Principal photography began on 17 November 2025. The film was shot in locations including Bangalore, Kuttikkanam and Kochi.[11] Cinematography was handled by Jomon T. John, with editing by Chaman Chakko and music composed by Jakes Bejoy.[12] Filming concluded on 20 February 2026.[5]

Marketing

The marketing of Thudakkam[13] began with the release of the first-look poster on 12 January 2026. Further promotional updates related to the film were released in the following months ahead of its scheduled release.[14]

Music

The music and original background score for Thudakkam were composed by Jakes Bejoy.[15]

Release

Thudakkam is scheduled to be released during the Onam festival in 2026. The film will be distributed by Aashirvad Cinemas.[16]
