Thoracicalcarea is a monophyletic[2] superorder of barnacles in the infraclass Thoracica.[1] It contains seven orders, four extant (Balanomorpha, Calanticomorpha, Pollicipedomorpha, Scalpellomorpha, and Verrucomorpha) and two extinct (Archaeolepadomorpha and Brachylepadomorpha).[1]
