In support of the project's fourth studio album, The Slow Rush (2020), the tour started on March 9, 2020, at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, and concluded on March 25, 2023, at Lollapalooza Brazil in Brazil. Clairo, Sudan Archives, Perfume Genius, Junglepussy, Giorgio Poi, Nu Genea, Genesis Owusu, Sycco, Ladyhawke, and Cuco performed as the supporting acts.
Background
After releasing the singles "Patience", "Borderline" and finishing their 2019 World Tour, Tame Impala would formally announce The Slow Rush on 25 October 2019.[1]
Three more singles, "It Might Be Time", "Posthumous Forgiveness", and "Lost In Yesterday" would be released until the release of the album on 14 February 2020.[2]
The initial Slow Rush Tour would be announced on December 9, 2019. However, only three dates were performed before the rest were ultimately cancelled or rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3][4]
Rescheduled "Phase 1 Rushium Trials" tour dates along with extra dates were announced on June 22, 2021,[5][6] with further "Slow Rush 2022 V.2 Clinical Trials" 2022 dates for North America, Europe, and Oceania being announced on December 7, 2021.[7]
