The Northwestern Flipside
The Northwestern Flipside is a satirical publication and undergraduate student organization at Northwestern University.
History
According to its website, The Northwestern Flipside was founded in January 2009 by Nick Zessis.[1][2] It is a member of the Flipside News Network, along with The Stanford Flipside.[3] The network formerly included The Edinburgh Flipside, The Hoosier Flipside, The USC Flipside, The DHS Flipside, The Feinberg Flipside, The Mizzou Flipside, The Mira Costa Flipside, The Flipside International, and The Norshore News, all of which are no longer active.[3][4][5]
Style
The Northwestern Flipside publishes articles on its website and headlines on its Instagram, mimicking the satirical style of The Onion.[6] Their content ranges from jokes about campus life to humorous critiques of current international events.[7]
