SouthCity Indonesia is a 57-hectare mixed-use township development in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia, developed by PT Setiawan Dwi Tunggal. The development includes residential towers, landed housing clusters, shops, and lifestyle facilities. In 2024, the project entered a joint venture with PT Summarecon Agung to develop a retail mall within the site.[1]

History

SouthCity was launched in May 2017 as a planned mixed-use township developed by PT Setiawan Dwi Tunggal, and was reported in Indonesian media as a phased development combining residential and commercial components.[2]

In January 2024, the developer entered a joint venture with PT Summarecon Agung to construct a mall covering 6.4 hectares on the site. The investment for the project was reported to be approximately IDR 1 trillion.[3][4]

Infrastructure and transport

A road bridge linking the Cinere and Pondok Cabe districts was constructed as part of the development. The bridge serves as a public transport route and has been reported to help ease traffic congestion.[2][5]

The development also functions as a terminal for Transjakarta's Royaltrans premium bus service. Routes D31 and D32 operates from the site, connecting South Tangerang with Jakarta's Kuningan and Sudirman business district.[6][7][8]

Residential components

SouthCity contains several high-rise residential projects, including The Parc. It consists of three residential towers and was officially launched in 2019. Next year, The Parc won the Best Affordable Condo Development (Greater Jakarta) category at the PropertyGuru Indonesia Property Awards.[9][10]
