Early Life and Education

She was born in Onancock in Virginia, to a notable local family; her father was Dr. Isaac Somers White and her mother was local board leader Caramine Kellam.[3][4] She studied at Broadwater Academy and Saint Catherine's School.[3][5] She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Virginia.[6]

Family

She is married to Jonathan Farkas, one of the heirs to Alexander's and brother of Alexander S. Farkas.[1] Her mother-in-law is former United States Ambassador to Luxembourg Ruth Farkas, making this one of the first times in U.S. history two women from the same family have both served as U.S. Ambassadors.[1]

Career

She has worked as an active partner in a realty company and owned her own consulting firm, SW Farkas LLC.[7] She has served as a trustee of the New York City Police Foundation.[1] Before her appointment to the ambassadorship, she served on the President's Commission on White House Fellowships during Donald Trump's first presidency and as Northeast and Florida Regional Finance Director for Donald Trump 2020. She is also a noted major fundraiser for an assortment of charities.[8]

She has been associated with Jeffrey Epstein.[9]

Ambassadorship

Her nomination to become the U.S. Ambassador to Malta under President Donald Trump was announced on December 24, 2024.[8][10] She was confirmed by the Senate on October 7, 2025.[11] She presented her credentials to President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Debono on November 26, 2025.[12][13][14]
