Smithson Investment Trust is a large British investment trust dedicated to investments in small and mid sized listed or traded companies internationally with a market cap (at the time of investment) of between £500 million to £15 billion.[1] The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange.[2] The chairman is Diana Dyer Bartlett.[3]
History
The company was the subject of an initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange, in which it raised £822.5 million, in October 2018.[4] In January 2026, the company announced a scheme of reconstruction whereby the assets of the company would be transferred to the Smithson Equity Fund.[5] Im anticipation of the reconstruction, the company waas removed from the FTSE 250 Index on 6 February 2026.[6]
