"She's Electric" is a song by English rock band Oasis. It is the ninth track on their 1995 album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?.[1] In 2024, the Official Charts Company listed "She's Electric" as Oasis's sixth most-streamed song in the United Kingdom,[4] and in 2025 the same publication, citing PPL data, ranked it as the band's third most-played song on UK radio and television this century.[5]
Background
"She's Electric" was taken from Oasis' 1995 album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?[6] It was intended to be released on the band's debut album Definitely Maybe, but was replaced by the song "Digsy's Dinner" which they believed was a better live song. The song is notable for its storytelling lyrics and singer Liam Gallagher's vocal performance which includes falsetto.[2] Noel Gallagher told NME in 1995 that it "was the first song we wrote for the album" and described it as being "like a Small Faces song or something by The Kinks".[7] Radio X later summarised the song as "half With A Little Help From My Friends by The Beatles and half the theme tune to the 1970s kids TV show You And Me", and quoted Gallagher's period explanation that it was about "a boy who's got a girlfriend, and he used to go out with her sister, that he fancies her mother, doesn't get on with her brother".[8] The track has been noted for its Beatles influences, including similarities in the chorus melody to "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and in the outro harmonies to "With a Little Help from My Friends".[9][10][11] Portions of the song's verse also carry an identical melodic and bass line as the verse of "Lady Madonna", albeit transposed.[12] Allan F. Moore has also compared the song to the Beatles' "When I'm Sixty-Four".[13]
A previously unreleased demo of the song was included on the deluxe 2014 reissue of (What's the Story) Morning Glory?.[14] A lyric video for the song was released on 2 October 2018, 23 years to the day of the album's release.[15]

Reception
"She's Electric" reached number 11 in the United Arab Emirates.[17] NME ranked "She's Electric" 51st among Oasis songs.[18] In its review of Oasis's catalogue, Trouser Press described the song as "Kinksy folk-rock".[19] In a 2024 ranking of the band's songs, Rolling Stone Australia wrote that Noel Gallagher gave the track "one of his sweetest mock-McCartney melodies" and praised Liam Gallagher's "endearing falsetto on the chorus", arguing that it showed Oasis had "a surprisingly twee side".[20]
Following the renewed interest in Oasis's catalogue after the announcement of the band's 2025 reunion, "She's Electric" entered the UK charts in September 2024, reaching number 31 on the Official Streaming Chart and number 65 on the Official Singles Sales Chart.[21]
