Safrira Zachai (Hebrew: שפרירה זכאי; born 13 September 1932) is an Israeli actress, voice actress, dubbing director and translator.[1][2][3]

Biography

Zachai was born in Gedera, her mother was a teacher, She began her professional career in theater at the Habima Theater, where she acted from 1952 to 1953. She then studied for two years at theLondon Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Upon her returnfrom London in 1956, she joined the Ohel Theatre, where she acted until 1961.

During the 1980s, she worked as correspondent for the newspaper Maariv in the entertainment field. In 1979, she began translating. In 1980, she founded a dubbing production company "Raz Films". She was a pioneer in the field of dubbing in Israel. In the late 1980s, it was decided to try to produce Hebrew dubbing for Walt Disney films for the first time. The task was entrusted to her.

She is married to producer Mati Raz and has two daughters.
