Sútor (Hungarian: Szútor) is a village and municipality in the Rimavská Sobota District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 205 metres (673 ft)[3] and covers an area of 13.25 km2 (5.12 sq mi) (2024).[4]

In year 2021 was 649 people by religion 549 from Roman Catholic Church, 59 from None, 17 from Not found out, 15 from Jehovah's Witnesses, 6 from Evangelical Church, 2 from Calvinist Church and 1 from Christian Congregations in Slovakia.

The vast majority of the municipality's population consists of the local Romani community. In 2019, they constituted an estimated 99% of the local population.[11] This is a Hungarian-speaking community, with 93% reporting this language as their mother tongue in the 2021 census.[12]
