Ruská Nová Ves

Ruská Nová Ves (Hungarian: Sósújfalu) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia.

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1423.

The municipality lies at an altitude of 418 metres (1,371 ft)^[3] and covers an area of 12.57 km² (4.85 sq mi) (2024).^[4]

It has a population of 1398 people (31 December 2024).^[6]

In year 2021 was 1305 people by ethnicity 1229 as Slovak, 63 as Not found out, 38 as Romani, 32 as Rusyn, 6 as Ukrainian, 5 as Czech, 4 as Hungarian, 4 as English, 3 as Irish, 3 as German, 1 as Italian, 1 as Russian, 1 as Austrian, 1 as Polish and 1 as Other.
