Rowena, Texas

Rowena is an unincorporated community and census designated place (CDP) in southwestern Runnels County, Texas, United States,[1] designed by Paul J. Baron in 1898.[2] As of the 2020 census, Rowena had a population of 305.[3] The elevation is 1759 feet above sea level.[1]

Notable people

  • Bonnie Parker (1910–1934), born in Rowena, was an outlaw who traveled the Central United States during the Great Depression in the early 1930s.
