Rope is a 1950 British television play based on the stage play of the same name by Patrick Hamilton.[1] It aired on January 8 and was filmed again on January 12.
The Evening Chronicle said "it showed that the close up technique of television is ideal for the 'psychological play'. Alan Wheatley gave a masterful performance."[2]
The Observer said "it came off splendidly."[3]
