Early life
Originally from Vermont Football Club in the Eastern Football League, McComb spent four years with Footscray, the Bulldogs reserves affiliate in the Victorian Football League (VFL).[2] In the 2021 VFL season, McComb was selected in the Team of the Year and won Footscray's best and fairest award.[1][3]
AFL career
McComb was selected by the Western Bulldogs with the 32nd pick in the 2022 rookie draft.[4]
He made his AFL debut in round 6 of the 2022 AFL season, against the Adelaide Football Club at Eureka Stadium.[5] McComb starred in his second game at senior level, collecting 21 disposals and kicking two goals in the win against Essendon.[6][7] He played in his final final in the elimination final against Fremantle, but failed to impact with just 4% time on ground as the Bulldogs exited the finals series.
