Although it is designated by the census as its own place, it is functionally a neighborhood of Bakersfield.[5][6]
Geography
Rivergrove sits at an elevation of 512 feet (156 m).[7] Rivergrove borders Goodmanville to the south and east across the Kern River.[8]
