Rest in Violence is a 1958 British television play directed by Cliff Owen and starring Richard Harris. It followed on the success of the previous Owen-Harris collaboration, The Iron Harp.[1]
Plot
The clash between two Irish brothers, peaceful farmer Mat and IRA man Dan. Dan seeks refuge with Mat, to the consternation of Mat's wife Maura.

Reception
The Daily Echo called it "superbly acted".[2] The Liverpool Post called it "a memorable production".[3] The Guardian called it "a good, strong thriller."[4]
