"Ready, Steady, Go!" is a song by the English singer and songwriter Harry Styles from his fourth studio album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally (2026). Styles wrote the song with Tyler Johnson, and its producer, Kid Harpoon. The lyrics discuss the physical feelings with a new lover.

Background and composition

"Ready, Steady, Go!" is a pop rock[1] track written by Styles, Kid Harpoon and Johnson.[1] It is about the urent rush of a new lover.[2]

Release and reception

In a review for Stereogum, Chris DeVille states that "The bass-bombed “Ready, Steady, Go!” is the kind of song an indie sleaze revival band in a Netflix drama might come up with, or maybe an actual post-peak 2000s dance-punk band buried deep on a late-season O.C. soundtrack."[3] Writing for the Hollywood Reporter, Nicole Fill noted that "It’s catchy enough that listeners will likely find themselves singing the chorus back to themselves".[1] John Earls noted in a review for Classic Pop magazine that it "is the dance moves’ peak, with both a mighty bassline and an earworm chorus melody in place for a relatively traditional romantic drama."[4]

Commercial performance

"Ready, Steady, Go!" debuted at number five on the UK Singles Chart dated 13 March 2026. It was one of three songs by Styles to chart in the top five that week, alongside singles "American Girls" (#1) and "Aperture" (#4). This marked the second time Styles had achieved such a feat, after "As It Was", "Late Night Talking" and "Music for a Sushi Restaurant" filled the top three of the chart in 2022.[5]
