History
The hospital was reportedly established in **1894** through the philanthropic efforts of **T. Rama Rao**, a former Dewan of Travancore, to provide medical care to underserved communities in Nedungolam and surrounding areas. After his death in 1895, his son Rao Sahib Udarasiromani T. Padmanabha Rao contributed to the institution’s development. Over time, the hospital expanded its services and was formally incorporated into the public health system of the Government of Kerala.[1]
