Radoslav Andrea Tsanoff (January 3, 1887 – May 29, 1976)[1] was a philosopher, teacher, and author who was born in Sofia, Bulgaria.[2] In 1903, he traveled to the United States at age 16 and spent a year at Robert College, after leaving Bulgaria.[3] He then went to Oberlin College which is where he got his PhD in philosophy.[4] He joined Rice University in Houston as an assistant professor of philosophy in 1914.
Early life
His father was a Bulgarian author, educator, and newspaper editor while his mother was Lebanese.[5][2]
