Rachel Wolfson (born January 23, 1987)[1] is an American comedian, and stunt performer. The first female of the main cast of Jackass, she starred in both Jackass Forever (2022), and will appear in Jackass 5 (2026).
Career
Wolfson moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to pursue a career in comedy.[2] She had performed stand-up comedy in locations, such as the L.A. Comedy Club and the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana.[3]
Marijuana activism
Wolfson runs a YouTube channel, The Budd, which is about smoking marijuana.[4] In a 2019 interview with Forbes, she stated that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at age 12, taking lithium to treat her condition. In college, she began smoking cannabis recreationally, later establishing her YouTube channel and own podcast about marijuana.[5] She also starred on Snoop Dogg's media platform Merry Jane in 2017, being described as the 'Ultimate Millennial Stoner Girl'.[6]
She quit smoking marijuana and tobacco in 2024 for health reasons.[7]
Jackass
Wolfson starred in Jackass Forever (2022),[8] the first woman to star in the movie franchise.[9][10] According to director and producer Jeff Tremaine, she was recruited to the franchise after Johnny Knoxville saw her Instagram in 2019 and thought she was funny.[4][11][12] A self-described 'MTV kid',[9] she participated in multiple stunts in the film, including licking a taser and being stung on the lips by a scorpion.[13] After filming, she praised the on-set culture.[14]
Personal life
Wolfson was born in Las Vegas, Nevada.[2] Her parents were both attorneys, and her mother was one of the attorneys who prosecuted O. J. Simpson in his 2008 robbery case.[15][3] She is Jewish, and stated that she had a strict upbringing.[9]
