Left Democratic Front (LDF) fielded veteran Communist leader M. V. Balakrishnan from CPI(M) against Congress incumbent Rajmohan Unnithan in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. M.L. Ashwini from BJP contested for NDA.[2]
