Piper High School is a public high school located in Sunrise, Florida, one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. The school is a part of the Broward County Public Schools district.[5]
The school serves over 2,100 students from grades 9 through 12. Its mascot is the Bengals.[6]
It serves most of Sunrise, northwest sections of Lauderhill, a section of North Lauderdale, and a section of Tamarac.[7][8][9][10][11]
History
The current principal is Matthew Lewis[12]. Before that, Marie Hautigan served as the principal[13]. Roma Adkins became the principal in 1994. The school is named after aviation pioneer William T. Piper, who generously donated the land upon which the school was built.
