Phen Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Established in 1983, it spans 110.74 square kilometres.[1] The sanctuary serves as a buffer zone for the Kanha Tiger Reserve, with which it shares a biological corridor.[2][3][4]

Flora and Fauna

The sanctuary is characterized by dense sal and mixed deciduous forests. It is a critical habitat for the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, Sloth bear, and Sambar deer.[5] It also hosts nearly 200 bird species within its landscape.[6][7][8]
