Paul Deschamps (19 September 1888 – 25 February 1974) was a French medieval historian and art historian. He served as director of the Musée des Monuments Français in Paris and specialized in the study of medieval art and architecture.[1][2][3]

Career

Deschamps conducted influential research on Crusader architecture, particularly the fortress of Krak des Chevaliers in Syria.[4] His work on the fortress, notably published in Les Châteaux des croisés en Terre sainte: Le Crac des Chevaliers (1934).[5] He also published works on medieval monuments and museum collections, including Musée National des Monuments français (1945).[6]
