Papa Daniel Mustapha is a Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for NK Celje and the Nigeria national football team.[2]

Club career

Papa Daniel has previously played for the Turkish club, Adanaspor, for the 2021/2022 season. He played for the Niger Tornadoes F.C. in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2024/2025 season. He is currently playing for the Slovenia Club NK Celje where he won the 2025/2026.[3][4][5]

International career

In March 2025, Papa Daniel was named in Nigeria's squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe by head coach Eric Chelle.[6] He made his senior debut for Nigeria during the 2025 Unity Cup tournament.[7]
