PuRE Energy, commonly known as PURE, is a company based in Hyderabad, India started in 2015 by Dr. Nishanth Dongari, a professor at IIT Hyderabad, and Rohit Vadera from IIT Bombay.[1] It was incubated at IIT Hyderabad's innovation center and focuses on battery energy storage systems and electric vehicles.[2][3]

Former DRDO chief G. Satheesh Reddy and NITI Aayog member V. K. Saraswat introduced some of its electric vehicle models, such as the EPluto 7G.[4]

It operates from Hyderabad and has a manufacturing facility there. The company works in areas related to clean energy, starting with lithium-ion battery production around 2018, and later moving into electric two-wheelers under the PURE EV brand.[5]

It has three main divisions: PURE EV for electric scooters and bikes, PuREPower for energy storage and backup solutions, and lithium battery systems that can support renewable energy setups like solar.[6] The company aims to provide options in energy storage and electric mobility.[7]

PURE EV has partnered with BE Energy (France), a climate technology company in order to support the country's green future.[8]
